!! CBCS CREDIT COLLECTION WARINING !!

 

In late 2002, I received a collection notice for "Alltel" that I had a debt due. However I never had Alltel or any other "merger" cell carrier. When I called, they had no record of me yet the collection agency demanded I pay it. Long story short, after two years of harrasment form the collection agency while researching my rights, I filed a written formal dispute to the collection agency and the credit bureaus. As a result, by March 2, 2004, they *could not verify the account information* and deleted the information from my credit report!

A little over two years later, I get the same notice, this time from CBCS! When I called them to dispute, they told me I have to write a formal dispute and include my social security number, driver licence, and 3 bills including bank statments three moths prior to August 2001 !!! I know this is not true per the fair debt collection act, but I played ignorant so I could get ther illegal practices recorded. The first
